Remote Work and Drum Cicles
Started off the week at Encanto Park for some drumming, then took off to camp at McDowell Mountain park to get some training rides in. It began raining Tuesday night, so naturally, I did a run in the rain on Wednesday morning on the Escondido trail. It was glorious. Just me and the birds out there, under a darkly clouded early morning with rain drizzling down all around. Upon coming home after a few days of camping, I hit the Tempe skatepark under yet another stunning Arizona Sunset. Yesterday, I worked all day from the trailhead at Beverly Canyon, unfortunately, I only got out for one run. Finally, took the ebike and my djembe to downtown Phoenix for some excellent jammin! There was so many people downtown, getting out of there on my bike was crazy. There was a DBacks game, the Women's Final four, and several little stages set up everywhere, like in front of the Herberger, and at the Library. It was mayhem, and getting out of there on my dutch cruiser with wide saddle bags and a large djembe strapped to the rack was not as easy as it sounds with traffic snarls and people all over the sidewalks.
