31.63513228015331,-111.44211530685425 2 hours and 45 minute drive.

From the GPS coordinates, drive along BA NWR Rd 227 and choose a numbered site. Great view of mountains.

The location marked in this listing is a turn off to lots of camping spots on both sides of the road. Rd 210 and 227. However, there are several other spots in different areas. Be sure to download a map that shows all of them marked with green triangles. All are numbered. We stayed in site 77. We had to go through a gate off of 286 about 3 miles south of the visitors center. No other site around for about a mile. Road in could be muddy in rainy season. About a mile from Monroe Lake. Good AT&T signal also.

We boondock a lot & this was exactly what we were looking for. Very secluded. Dark, DARK skies!!!! We could hear the occasional vehicle on the distant paved roads but not bad at all. Exploring was so much fun just make sure you know your way back. Stop by the Visitor's Center for sure. Lots of great info & knowledgeable staff. More roads to explore there. Can refill water bottles there! Sassabe has 1 store with basics & gas. Not much else there but interesting drive there to explore more.

We stayed at site 60-A which is on a dirt road (210, I believe) that runs north and south from the Arivaca-Sasabe Road. Many of the campsites are along this road.
