So, I'm thinking - I drive out to Ocean Side the day buffy flies out, then I pick her up at the airport, we park the van in OceanSide (if it will fit), then after the vaca.. I stay in San Diego for the next week and park at the beat by day, and then in industrial parks by night.
What do you think?

Lots of parking along a street in an industrial area. A few fulltimers here. Quiet at night. We heard that police will not bother vehicle dwellers if they park in an industrial area, so we chose to stay here instead of the many parking lots and residential areas marked on this app. Stayed a few nights, no problems. No signs prohibiting parking or about street sweeping. Dogs are fine just please clean up after them.
Oh, check this info out -its years old though - parking till 8:00 AM overnight: freecampsites.net Parking lot within 5 minutes walk to Beach. No over sized vehicles (like RVs). Pay $5 stay all day till 5 or pay $8 and stay all night till 8 a.m.. it is near a Amtrak railroad line and appears they like to honk their horn before they come up to an intersection. But it doesn't seem to deter from the growth of high-end real estate in the area. Nice coffee shop right next to parking with water view. This is an old post... so might not be valid.
Conflicting info, but Maybe call the city. I don't really want to stay on OceanSide after Buffy leaves, I want to go to pacific or mission.
