In-The-Moment

Just a Couple of Hours From Home

Woke up at 3:30, the stars were so bright on this early moonless morning. My alarm wasn't set to blare for another hour and a half. I debated what to do, get an early start to the drive on the last day of a trip seems to be my mantra, so I repacked everything up and headed to breakfast in Flagstaff, which is still 3.5 hours away. Biffs Bagels always comes through, that and Tea at sbux on the patio.

I though driving through the painted desert would be stunning at sunrise, but it turns out I was a little early. I did get one shot that was kind of nice. IMG_7339_SnapseedCopy Lake Powell

Anyways, I caught the sunrise above Lake Powell, which was spectacular. IMG_7345_SnapseedCopy Sunrise Over Lake Powell

Here, in Flagstaff, I'm finishing off my tea, and about to head home. The clouds here keep getting darker and darker and its about 70 degrees right now. So peaceful.

Okay, it actually is raining now! Hard to leave when the rain is hitting hard, and I have a first row seat to the action outside on the patio under the awning. The trip has been wonderful, and I feel like I was just productive or more so at work, then when at home.
