I Just Have to Write Down How Much Fun I had Tonight
I thoroughly enjoyed myself tonight downtown for the First Friday drum circle. It was very warm, and at first there were only 3 or four people there. The soccer world cup was taking place, so at first glance, it seemed to impact the turnout. Anyways, a friend from another drum circle showed up too, and she smoked out with Dave early on. Well, I guess David didn't warn her that his pot is super high yield, so pretty soon she was having a super great time and was laughing so much, it was great to see. We had previously talked about going over Ikes for a sandwich, so she begged me to go with her so we strolled over laughing all the way there and back. I was a little jealous of her ability to let to. I drove so I didn't imbibe, and I'm glad I didn't anyways, 'cause I was there to drum and groove. I tried Dave's weed once, and one hit made me super high in the best way, but I was on my bike back then... Anyways, Ikes was great, and we got back the drum circle which was in full groove by then. I played my new djembe, and I felt the rhythm take control of the vibe for the next 2 hours. So much fun! The Jun-Jun players were on fire tonight, and really kept the beats flowing.
